Fantastic set up, didn’t know anything like this existed and was quite sceptical but after hearing presentation and getting a bigger picture and more of an idea I can honestly say as a parent it’s an opportunity I would encourage my son to work hard for. Presentation then onto the field with 2 experienced leaders / coaches who were happy to answer questions once finished. My son had a day off school and so close to important exams I was sceptical, but I would highly recommend this if sport (for our so it’s rugby) is everything in life. Only wish they had given some idea as to when to expect feedback and how they tell you if you are or aren’t successful to go onto the next stage. Patiently awaiting an email - fingers crossed.

The trial was a well organised and run session, at a high standard and demanding setting, setting the tone for what is expected if you get onto a scholarship in the US. I also found it fun, and the coaches were engaging and helpful with me as I was only 1 of 3 girls that were at the football trial, which was very daunting at first, but I soon felt settled.

Coaches put on good drills and were intense and bought the best out of us. The coach with 40 years’ experience was critical but in a good way and I liked his pointers. Also, very good job explaining what first point is and the stages you have to go through.

I’d like to share my second review of FirstPoint USA with prospective student athletes and their parents. My first review was way back in 2022 when my daughter’s hopes and dreams were fulfilled when she initially signed up. She has just begun her third year in Iowa this week and I can honestly say the pastoral support and encouragement she initially had, has continued throughout, she certainly hasn’t been forgotten!! If you are a talented student athlete where studying and playing your chosen sport in the US really is your dream, then FPUSA is for you. We did our research and looked at other agents but with professionalism and effective communication, we didn’t hesitate. Please do read all the reviews, the positive feedback clearly outweighs the negative. It certainly won’t be for everyone. Take your time, trawl their website, follow their social media pages and then decide. Of all those we know who used FPUSA, they are happy with their service, what we read, and saw was exactly what we got. Hope this helps in your decision.

Throughout the whole process everything was explained to me fully and all my questions were answered. Our son has recently started studying on a soccer scholarship in the US. The whole US college process was new to us and FirstPoint guided us through all the necessary steps. FirstPoint were excellent from start to finish. Everyone, particularly our representative George, was courteous, helpful and proactive. The attention to detail was impressive.
